Enhancing Caring Communities Toolkit
Empowering community-based organizations to better serve and support family and friend caregivers
Project Aims
This toolkit was developed to help community-based organizations improve services and support to family and friend (unpaid) caregivers. It was created with input from 46 professionals representing 23 home- and community-based organizations operating in 15 states that participated in the National Caregiving Learning Collaborative. The toolkit is divided into five steps, with interactive organizational assessments and additional resources to help you navigate the process. For each step, we provide a template for your organization to use and examples of completed assessments from two National Caregiving Learning Collaborative participant organizations.
Resources
Equip community-based organizations with tools and resources to assess and improve their caregiver services and support programs.
Guidance
Guide organizations through identifying service gaps, selecting appropriate caregiver support programs, and planning and implementing those programs effectively.
Support
Foster ongoing evaluation and adaptation of caregiver support programs to ensure their continued success.
